Love the Italian bean soup with bread, it’s like a home cooked meal! Great little location on the side of the canal, a nice walk with some lunch is one of my favourite things to do on the weekend. Indoor and outdoor seating available (limited tables inside) and dog friendly outside (not sure on inside). Nice to sit outside and watch the canal boats go through the lock as they pass.

Nice little cafe right on the lock. Perfect for a stop in when you’re boating by. Lots of lovely baked goods on offer and we got some proper strong tea for our journey. Welcoming service.

Lovely little cafe on the river. The cakes were delicious!!! We had orange and almond. Cakes weren’t on the menu (unless we missed it) so asked at the counter. Nice staff too.

Company Christmas party night, twin room, sharing with a colleague. Room 16 … paint peeling off walls in bathroom at end of bath.. no tiles? Comfortable beds but soft furnishings stained. Party room decked out beautifully.. but food was shocking to be honest. You never expect a good Christmas party dinner at these sort of functions but I can honestly say this was the worst we have had. Not even a roast potato on the dinner .. just two boiled parsnip pieces! Other people from different party rooms tried to gate crash our party so there was a bit of unpleasantness when asked to leave. Breakfast was not great either to be honest so can’t really say the food was nice, sorry. Staff were pleasant but under a lot of pressure.. not enough bar staff and wanted cash to buy a drink. ** Could do better. Sorry.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed for my daughter’s birthday. The staff couldn’t of helped more. Made us all feel very special. Breakfast was amazing. Seemed like very high quality food and plenty to choice from. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Swimming pool was good size and not very busy. Lockers didn’t work, but that could of been me. Overall 5 star stay..

Booked this last minute as somewhere close to Thorpe park. It was a little down a country track but really enjoyed my night here. Reasonably presented rooms and attentive staff who came across well. The room was small but well presented, it was a small double bed which was odd as I always stay in king/super king. Either way I would recommend and had no faults

Pretty much saved my dads life after a heart attack. Nurses there are very very skilled. And very hard working. My dad was there for almost 3 months. Post op care was excellent too. Even after 3 years since having his heart attack my dad still has check ups and the care is amazing. Thank you all

Today, (10/07/2021) on entering the hospital, I was greeted by a gentleman who asked me if he could help. He directed me to the department that was needed, but got slightly lost and ended up walking onto a ward as the door was open. A very kind member of the nursing staff redirected me and eventually found the department. The radiographers were very good in explaining everything that I needed to know, with a special mention towards Catherine and the New Zealand 🇳🇿 radiographer. A huge thank you to all concerned who made me feel relaxed as this was my first visit to the hospital and first time in the CT scanner.

Excellent location, brilliant atmosphere, perfect place for a sunny day. Bear in mind, if can get very busy! Arrive soon to secure your picnic bench. Food is served on the table, so make sure to note your table numbers while ordering. Good variety of draft beers and cider. Excellent open location for kids to run around but not much to do unless they want to eat the apples from the apple trees, a small orchard. A small old tractor is an attraction for the younger ones. Outside serving of beers and food is an excellent idea. Make most of it. Well spoken staff. 5 stars! Well done management and well done team. 👍

Lovely!one of the most beautiful sceneries around London. The landscape from there was amazing and beautiful! It is a fantastic venue for both dining in or out! The food was good, we ordered fish and chips. The portions are very big and each portion is almost enough for 2 persons. The chips are not ready made frozen ones available everywhere. The chips are bigger and thicker and made by themselves. I have not seen similar chips any where else. We enjoyed the food. We got there without prior booking, all of the tables inside were reserved and we had sit outside which was a little chilly although there were small electric heaters dangling over our head. It is nice place for dining and especially for breakfast or brunch. It has a good large parking. You can plan to hike around the lake. There is a nice trail along the canal. Then at the end have a delicious food at this venue. I suggest to book a table beforehand especially on chilly days.

Lovely location, and setting. Great views of HS2 construction ( if you’re interested in that sort of thing!). Food was OK, but portion sizes a bit small. Too fancy in its presentation…. traditional is best!

I’ve visited this store many times over the decades. They’ve always been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable & well stocked. But recently brought two poles & really helped with elasticating them (as only recently got into pole fishing). Couldn’t recommend enough!!!! Thank you so much guys

What an amazing selection and great staff, very helpful. I took the wife in (she’s anti fishing, she don’t see the point) and she was totally amazed, 3 aisle’s plus, of just bait, in her words so many flavours and colours. She loved it in there, she wants to get the grandchildren the little kits and she couldn’t believe the size of the shop (massive, and I didn’t even take her upstairs) full with so many “in her words, Christmas gift ideas and stocking fillers. Check out the window display, a great fold up seat for £19,99. The wife calls it an “aladdin’s cave for fishermen” To sum up, its brilliant, and ladies get the man in your life a gift from here. He will love you forever.
